DVD drive not showing

Hi, i tried this command "reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001" in cmd but it said "Access Denied". How should i fix it now? Or what possibly is the problem?
I also tried to fix it through Regedit but actually i couldn't find "Controller0" in atapi. I don't know what this means. If anyone knows here plz help.

Hi,

You must run cmd with admin rights to execute the command. Open the Start menu and search for "cmd". Then right-click on it and choose Run as administrator.

Hello,

I noticed my CD/DVD drive was missing in my file explorer so I went searching for some online help I tried uninstalling the drives as advised online and clearing the registry as instructed earlier in Matt's page regarding jacko468's similar issue in here but the problem wasn't solved I still cant find my CD/DVD ROM driver on my windows 10 hp laptop. Please HELP

Hello folks,
I don't know how does it start,actually..
I use PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-217..My pc hasn't been a year..
It's unable to write any DVD,and maybe CD too..
I check in divice manager..and it says:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
if uninstall and reinstall the device can fix this problem??

Hello,
This is my first post, and I need help of yours.
I have Dell Inspiron 1525, windows 7, DVD RW.
When I insert DVD/CD in drive, It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to read it. after that it works fine.
Time of 20 to 30 minutes after inserting disk is creating much trouble for me.
Please help me to find the solution for this problem.



Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 533.4
