Meet Now in Skype allows you to easily set up a collaboration space and invite both Skype contacts and friends or family who are not on Skype. Participants can then easily join meetings whether they have an account or not

Skype meet now is for those who do not have a Skype account or who do not have Skype software since Skype meet now works in the browser

You guys do not mention the difference of both. You only mention brief explanation of Skype meet now.
To keep the appointed time, we are definately required to have telephone number or Skype account respectively.
