Turn off webcam

Hello,I just got a dell 1nspiron 1525 and I want to use my own web cam. I have disabled the built in cam and removed the driver, but it keeps repairing itself.How can I permanently disable it?

Click on My Computer/ Properties/ Hardware/Device Manager/search for your Webcam , right click on it and select the Disable option.

He said it keeps repairing itself. I have the same problem. I do the disable bit and sooner or later, even with automatic updates turned off, it is magically enabled again. The question that is still unanswered is, "How do I PERMANENTLY disable the webcam?"

helped alot thanks... now the little light is off... I just disabled it and then enabled
