Power Point footer Closed

Question

Hello,
Goodmorning.  I lucked up on this site and hope you can help.  When I select Master View, I type in the name of my presentation in the "Number Area" as well as the page number.  When I switch back to "Normal View" the information does not appear.  Help!

I have experienced this bug as well.  I re-ordered the layouts in the slide master, and the layout that I put first was now mysteriously missing the footer when I made a slide from it, even though I could see it in Slide Master view.  

Try this:
Put a new slide layout in the first position.  Then don't use that layout.
See if the footer appears on the good layouts now.
