Can't connet to hotel wifi

Hello,
I use a Dell 1525 inspiron with linux OS. When I travel to one particular hotel my computer finds the free wifi signal and shows bar strength but will actually not connect to the internet. Firefox is my browser. I feel as though I have tried every different way to connect including a hardwire but the same thing happens. Is there some setting blocking the connection?

You didn't think it would be so easily because the wifi was right-protected by a password.
