VISTA DVD Problem

Hello,
I have Windows 64 bit Vista and I am having a problem with my DVD + RW (DVD). The DVD will play videos but it will not launch/start new software. I tried adding an external DVD and I still have same problem. When I give the address to the DVD I am asked if I want to format it. THank you for any help you can provide - Norman

You can do something but i'm not sure it will work. You can still erase the driver manually, restart windows and try again.
