I jsut tried to upgrade my comp from 512 ram to 2g and when I restarted my comp it would not start up what did I do wrong when I put the 512 chip back in everything was back. Is there something that I need to know or do differently.

Did you try to run with only 1 1GB memory module ? one of your two new modules might be bad or they might not be compatible with the motherboard.
