trying to reinstall Closed

Question

Hello,
i meant by trying to re-install.
it shuts down automatically.
i think it is a boot virus.
it started immidietly my internet went off.
and several downloads where made by my girlfriend without having the machine scanned.
it then started going off pomptly everytime i watched a movie and try to do something else.
i then tried to re-install the operating system xp.
it wont allow me to do so.
it goes off in the middle of the reinstalation process.

Hello Blinks,

In order for me and others to help you best, we would need more information.  I am inclined to believe that this is not a Windows problem but a virus problem.

Could you please dowload, install and run Hyjackthis.  On the main page, please request a scan and a log.  Once the scan is over the log will open.  Please copy the log and post it here.

The log will give us a snap picture of the processes as well as the registry keys which are susceptible to hide a virus and perhaps enable us to identify the virus for the best eradication medication.
