New dvd burner, memoex mrx550L not reconized

I just bought memorex mrx550L, instaled it and switched on...... Not recognized. Not even in bIOs. Been messin for hours now and Im gettin mad. Can anybody help before I take i t back?

Hi there,

Have you plugged the ide cable and set the jumper to correct configuration like master,cs or slave/Please provide more information.

Its a SATA drive and I had to turn SATA on in the bios.. Thank you tho...
