Acer 1640 Start up Closed

Question

Hello 
   I have a Acer Aspire 1640,Model ZL8.When I push the power button,the front  
lights flash for about 3 or 4 seconds and then shut down.Have done all the usual 
things,Battery,going on ac only,etc.Is this related to a corrupt bios or a southbridge  
issue.Thanks Rob

I've been having the same issue. Not sure if it was a timing coincedence, but I hit Esc while pushing the power button and it came back to life.
