DVD's will no longer play on my computer

Hello,
I don't know when this initially started by within the last 6 months, my computer will no longer play DVD's. I did a system recovery on my computer but that didn't help. I don't know what to do now. Please help. I checked under my computer and it still list the DVD-RW player on disc E.

Hi,

Does it play cd's or this also not?have you tried to clean the lens?try and give more information.
