IDE/SATA CONVERTER

Hello,

I've just bought a ide to sata converter, but it's not working at all. I just wonder if there are some settings that I have to go through or there are special drivers needed for that. I am using Windows XP and my motherboard has only the ide ports. Please help

windows should install the drivers for the hard drive.
sometimes they can be a bit dodgy.

just unplug it and plug it back in again.

if there are jumpers on the IDE drive, take them off.
