Windows Vista installed now CD/DVD drive will

Hello,
The problem I am having is that I upgraded to windows vista, before that my CD/DVD drive worked fine, but after installing vista I can not use my CD/DVD for anything it will not work with music, dvds or any of my other cds. When I checked in device manager it states there is no problem with the hardward. When I insert a CD or DVD a pop up window shows and tells me to insert disk but one is already in there. I have no idea what to do. please if anyone has any ideas I would appreicate ti very much.

i had that problem once i just updated this cd/drive vista 0.1 and it worked

Hi, Yes I have upgraded to windows vista SP1., and still my cd/dvd player does not work. I have tried everything so I am beginning to wonder if my dvd player has gone out. I go to my computer and it is listed there and it states there is nothing wrong with it.
