I have just disembled the laptop and fixed AC jack bad connection.
I am trying to re-install vista on my Gateway laptop, 32 bit, M-series.
No hardware changes, original installation disk from Gateway.
The re-installation went well until the last step, Completing installation ..., after an automatic restart, it popup an error message:
"Windows setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware".
Then, shut down.
