Slowly disconnects / Ethernet not working.

Hi guys,

My desktop started to disconnect to from the internet lately. It was working fine a few weeks ago. Every morning i turn it on and it is connected, but then disconnects after 10-30mins. And when i restart its not connected at all or the modem doesnt detect it now.
Can someone please help. I'm not good with computers :/

You don't say if you have broadband and what type.

I would wait until it stops and then call your ISP. They can poll the modem to see if it's connected and if it has logged any error codes.

well my old desktop works fine(but it's pretty bad), and i use cable.

So the problem is with a laptop using wifi?

nono. My brother's laptop works fine, its just my desktop that won't consistently have internet connection, even though its connected to the modem.
