How to edit my website using Umbraco?

I have a website with an account in Umbraco. I am a developer and I don't know much about creating websites..
The only thing I have been able to do with my website is to update the information (texts and pictures), but I would like to do more (modify the design and some structures..).
Any idea about a way to be able to make simple changes in my website??
