Hum..First, I'll recommend you to browse the "Top Applications": https://play.google.com/store/apps/top?hl=en In the "Top Free" category, you will find a lot of choices. In the "Top Paid" too but free ones are...free =)
Personnally, I'm using Google Music to play music, MXPlayer for vidéo, Aldiko for ebooks, ES Explorer to browse my phone files, Barcode scanner, Google Apps (Gmail, Agenda, Drive, Maps, Google+...), Feedly to read my RSS feeds...
Concerning games, I'm not a real gamer but I like the following: Jetpack Joyride, Dots, Pudding Monster, Blastron
You just have to play with your new toy now =)

uuu...thank you Buno for your fast reply. I spent a couple of hours in each on telephone.
Its quite addictive and I think helps me a lot, if I do not spend time for fun on it :)))
