Received a message saying my fan is has a disfuntioning error

Recently I've noticed a funny sound coming from the fan. Well first I received a message saying my fan is has a disfuntioning error. What could be the problem and can I fix it myself? I've been using it for a year now.

The heat sink may be too hot and the might be too weak to cool it. The best solution would be to change the fan, if you have the exprience you can change it by yourself and if can't just take to an engineer and get it replaced.

Thanks Champ, but how is that possible? I have been using this laptop for only a year and a week. And i don't use it quite often. In fact I hardly use it. as I use the one in the office. Could it be that it was faulty from the manufacturer
