can you download the latest Blackberry Desktop Manager to your computer, plug in your device and check to see it is running the latest software.

Thank you for replying,I appreciate it.Strangely enough, my computer literate brighter also had this problem with her own Blackberry.I have had to ask another question on this forum, in that I can't use my laptop at the moment, but as soon as it's worked out then I'll try your advice.I do understand that there's far more of a chance that this problem that this ifs all due to something that I'm not doing, and I'll blame my aging brain.
