Hi there
I've been trying to install a new program on a WS with Windows 8 pro. I keep on getting a message of Windows smartscreen and that it is preventing this unregistered app from starting. Is it safe to deactivate smartscreen? What do i do?

Hello,

you can temporarily disabled smartscreen to install your apps. Smartscreen is like User Account Control, it just prevents any virus from auto running/installing.
