Hello,

Basically I'm looking for a formula that would let me do something like this: If cell d1 contains ANY part of Apple (ie apple pie, apple cake, whatever) then cell e1 would fill with the word apple. However if cell d1 contain ANY part of "peach" it would copy peach in cell e1 basically. Multiple causes for multiple results. In excel 2010.

Thank You

Nate, Good afternoon.

Suppose you list of words is at W5:W15

Try to use:

E1 -->
=LOOKUP(2^15, FIND(W$5:W$15, D1), $W$5:$W$15)

Is that what you want?
I hope it helps.
