Hi Nancyp513,
Do the movies look discolored when you play them back on the Samsung phone itself, or just on your Compaq laptop?
This will establish where we need to start looking for the issue.
If it's just your laptop, it could be that you miss the proper codec or the player you are using on your laptop does not support the format properly.
An easy way to check is to download a free media player for windows called VLC. This one has all the codec's on board that you need to pretty much play any video file format currently in use correctly.
If the video's still look discolored using VLC, the problem may be with the phone.
