OK, unplug the power cord from the wall, and unplug it from the laptop. Pull apart the power cord at the adapter, to make two seperate parts. Do not force it apart if doesn't just pull easily.
Now take the battery out, and set it down. Now, take the laptop and and open it and hold down the power button for 60 SECONDS.
Put it all back together and plug it into the wall. Try to boot.
