International Dialing Codes

A recurring question in the CCM forums is what is the origin of the phone calls received from unknown numbers. For this reason, in addition to all of the telephone codes for the American States, we have collated a list with all of the international dialing codes.

What is the Significance of the + Sign?

The sign (+) precedes all international telephone numbers, it can also be replaced by 00. Thus, in Spain the prefixes +34 and 0034, in Mexico +52 and 0052 or in Argentina +54 and 0054 are equivalent. To get the + sign, on most phones, just hold down the 0 key for a moment.

How Many Numbers Does the International Telephone Code Have?

Prefixes can consist of 1, 2, 3, or even 4 digits. If the prefix you are looking for is not in the list, find the shortest code by removing the last digit.
