Facebook access code error

For about two weeks now I have tried to login into my Facebook but every time I request an access code i get the error saying I’ve tried too many codes try again later. I left Facebook alone for a week before trying again but I’m still getting that error. What am I doing wrong. I’ve tried deleting my history on my phone but I just can’t figure it out.

Delete all of your temporary files and cookies and try again.
