I computer thinks for it's self

Hello,
i run linux on my computer and after around 45 minutes,it shuts down by it self,my neighbor says its a hardware problem,i think he's wrong,i have all the settings to never shut down,but it does anyway.my battery is no good too ,but i dont use it ,i keep it plugged in.i like ubuntu but it doesnt like me,can you help?

hi,

this may be a power saving settings issue.

make sure that you have not set your computer to switch off after a predefined time.

check the settings.

or it may be an overheating problem.

make sure that the heatsink is correctly positioned on the processor.

all you have to do is to go to control panel then to power options, you must configure the page and for the option you will see as follow, turn off hard disk :never and the other one : system standby:never and it will be good thats for sure

You may have been using Windows for many years and everyone around probably has too so don't expect to just suddenly magically understand linux overnight. It takes time but is really quite easy once you get used to asking for help in the right places ;)
