DVD Drive not functioning

Hello,
My laptop was re-formatted as well as the keyboard was replace since the old keyboard was alredy defective. Apparently we already downloaded the drivers needed for the laptop to function (sony vaio VGN-FE630). When we tried to play a dvd, it is not reading the disc. What should I do? Is there available downloadable program for this?

Is it a DVD movie? i will advise you to download the codec pack and to install it to your system
