Cd-rw and dvd-rw wont play dvds

Hello,
My CD-RW and DVD-RW wont play any DVDS but will do Data, and Audio. I'm Windows XP Professional SP3. Anyone with a work around to fix the problem. Greatly appreciate any and all assistance.

Hye there,

Did you installed a software or do something which caused this problem?

Please tell me more about it

Did not install any new software . only thing I did was to install sp3 for xp
