Format vista to xp

Hello,
Hell sir, i have hp pavilion dv 2000 laptop , it is loaded with vista ,i want to load windows xp professional,
but set up time the message appear. it is "set up cannot find hard drives" and i went bios settings but not appear hard disk or sata settings. please how to change sata settings.please tell me that details
