dvd drive detect my dvd but dont display Closed

Question

Hello,
When i insert any dvd my dvd drive shows the symbol ( means it detects the dvd) but when i open it was blank.
if i insert win xp then it vl be autoplayed.  My drive reads some cd's and it shows blank to some cd's.
movie dvd's vl not be readed by drive.  My drive reads win xp cd. whats the actual problem????????

hi there,

go to device manager 

and double click on cd/dvd drive and press on update driver

i do that but it the problem still resides.
