Vista

Hello,
When tuning on my sisters toshiba laptop after the tosiba logo the screen goes blank.
It says there is a problem with windows and it has to shut down.

I have a copy of Windows Vista and the drive will not read it.

I have the back up copy of software but the drive will not read it.

I try and reload system files from f8 but it only loads so far and then stops with the same error
message.

I have tried f12, f2, f11, not really sure where I should go from here.

Can anyone help?
