Hello,
actually my bios isnt detecting any drives and i was wondering if its the hardware which is is malfunctionning or whatsoever but i tried my hard disk and my dvd rom on my brother's pc an dits working fine any idea of what should i do ?

Get a second opinion before you try this, but it sounds like you need a BIOS upgrade to me which is a download from the motherboard manufacturer. If this hardware came in the computer and worked at one time then this won't be the case, unless a virus got the BIOS firmware, which in this case you usually can't even access the BIOS. Just a thought.
