IPhoto scan problems

Hello,
Using a Lexmark 5470 all in one printer, I am unable to scan into a Mac iPhoto application. Printing is fine with no problems but I am unable to scan into the Mac.

Dear IrishTom,

Please consider pressing the button found on the printer

for scanning to see if it opens up the scanner software.

If not please indicate which application is being used.
