Need some serious help

Hello,

i need some serious help from you..The Police Department in a town named abc has been restructured and is shortly opening a new headquarters building. The headquarters will house all the communications and computer systems for the Police Department.

Investigate the possible network topologies and media that could be used to create the in-house network (LAN) for the Police Department.
a) Explain how the topologies operate.
b) Explain the advantages and disadvantages of each medium.
c) Provide a recommendation for which topology and medium to use including reasons for this recommendation.

could you please please help me with some ideas so that i could work on it carefully and nicely...
