Hello, can anyone help me cant install my pentax x70 on computer(laptop) which in turn i cant access or get photos from camera without alot of crap going on can someone help me

i have the software it says pentax software s-sw87 i havae installed it several times
it says acdsee for pentax 3.0
when i go to retrieve photos from camera it doesnt always bring up acdsee when it does icant see it retriveing the photos and can never find them, when i go to control panel there is no camera there and i cant get it to load on the laptop, also when i go into other programmes to retrieve photos there is no camera only something saying xerox scanner?????? and that doesnt even get the photos, i have looked in my folder pictures thinking it mightg be there but no nothing i have tried importing them thru picasa as well but cannot find my camera to get them.
i think that is about all, does this help
also i think the camera is not very good either as even when i dont zoom in the picture is not very good and also when i crop the picture it becomes very pixelated
