Hello,

Suggest a motherboard compatible with old and new hardware.

This is my current configuration:

Intel Original Mother board 845GVSR
80 GB HDD IDE
2 x 256 MB DDR RAM
Intel P4 2.4 GHz 478 pin processor
Sony DVD RW

I want to buy a new motherboard which can support my current configuration and also new ones like

DDR2 RAM
core 2 duo processor (optional)

Is there any motherboard that can that can do the job?

No. Your old CPU will not fit into any of the 3 sockets that are used for core 2 duo and above and the DDR memory will also not fit. You can use the hard drive and DVD but both are getting old and the hard drive is very small by today's standards. It's best to start over with a new computer.
