Hello,
My home computer runs on xp and is connected to LAN and my laptop runs windows 7 and is connected to a wireless connection elsewhere can i share files between the two?

you can, just create a shared folder and place it on the network, make sure both machines have the same network name, or if you dont have a network use the network wizard in the control panel.
