Hello,
Up untill yesterday, when I used F 5, the cell that I was going to always ended up in the upper left corner of the screen. Now it goes to somewhere on the right. Also, before when I used the "home" key, the cursor would go to A 1. Now it goes to A and the line it's in. Did I change a setting or something? I don't want to have to re-write macros. I'm using Excel 2007. I tried the F 5 function on a machine that has Excel 2003 and it's what I had before. I wanted to make sure I'm not losing my mind,

Mike

Nope you have not lost your mind. Press the scroll lock key and you will get back your old way.

Hi rizvisa1,
I just tried that. It didn't help. I switched key boards in case the first one was broke. Still no luck. With the Scroll On and I press HOME, the cursor moves to the upper left of the screen. With the Scroll OFF and I press HOME, the cursor moves to the "A" row and stays on the same line. The Scroll button doesn't seem to effect the F 5 function. Either ON or OFF, it still goes to the requested cell, but instead of putting it on the upper left of the screen, it puts it on the right side, and not always on top. Sometimes in the middle right and sometimes lower right, Depending on which cell I try to go to. I went to the link and tried some of the short cut keys. They seemed to work fine.

Hi rizvisa1

I found that I had checked the Lotus navagation square in Excel options when I installed Excel and unchecked it a few days ago. When I re checked it, I'm back to normal. I checked the Excel version 2003 that I use for testing and it was checked. BUT I think I DID lose my mind. I don't remember checking it when I did the install last year, OR unchecking it recently.
Well, That's one problem solved...now for my mind...........
thanks for the help
