Hi,

I use a dual boot system with Windows XP & Fedora 10. I'm unable to login into XP & I keep getting this error msg "windows\system32\config\system missing or corrupted", I'm unable to get into safe mode as well. I tried reinstalling XP but I couldnt, after I boot from the XP CD it says "Inspecting your computer hardware...." & nothing happens, I can neither Install or repair windows.
Fedora works absolutely fine, I'm not sure if fedora is conflicting in Reinstalling XP. I tried in vain to uninstall Fedora. Please help.

Windows XP can't understand the hard disk after it has been formatted by Linux. Google "Killdisk" - download a copy and burn it to a CD. Then boot from the CD and use Killdisk to remove the Linux partitions. You should then be able to install Windows XP.

Good Luck
