Deleted photos

The exact same thing happened to me. All my photos got deleted off my camera because i was messing around with it and accidently pushed something that deleted everything. I was confused so i took another photo. Since i have 1 new photo i took after all those photos of mine deleted, will i be able to get all my old photos back? If not will it help to delete my new photo that i took?

Are the pictures on a memory card or camera internal memory?Please confirm with more information.
