Laptop>DVD Player>TV would it work?

I was wondering if I was to plug my HDMI cable in to my dvd player and connect my dvd player to my tv
would my laptop screen show up on my tv?

Please provide correct information as you said dvd player so how is your laptop related to it?

by hdmi cable from my laptop to the dvd player :)
