                    HP put the recovery disks on a hidden partition on your hard drive.  You can burn your own  CDs (it might take 7 or 8 CDs) or DVD's (2 DVDs).  try this 
Go to START/RECOVERY MANAGER/RECOVERY DISC CREATION and create your 2 set recovery disc and use it to restore your dv2000 to factory settings (just follow the wizard, its pretty straightforward), or you could start also from the Recover Manager program from within that folder. I suggest that you back up your files first on an external drive (usb or hard disc) because like I said, it would be restored as factory setting
