Missing microsoft icon pic

Hello,
I have the same problem with microsoft icons. the icon uses the application icon pics instead of the microsoft icon pic. i tried using the detect and repair option of microsoft picture manager but i got an error. the icon is also wrong in the control panel and under all programs.

Right click your Desktop, choose Properties, under the Settings tab change the Color Quality from 32 bit to 16 bit, click Apply/OK. Now go back and change the Color Quality from 16 bit to 32 bit, click Apply/OK. This will rebuild the iconcache.db file and may correct your icon problem.
