However, I don't have a partition to install it. is it posible to partion my HD(C:\) without formatting my HD?

Vista include a built-in functionality in Disk Management to shrink and expand partitions.

just follow these steps

1)Start Menu -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Administrative Tools -> Double Click on Computer Management -> Storage -> Disk Management.

2)Now right click the partition you want to shrink --->select the shrink option.

3)Now a window appears ---> enter the amount you want to shrink the partition
( note :default maximum is entered)

4)then click on Shrink ---> now a new partition is created

Hi there,

Yes you can partition without formatting, open run type :diskmgmt.msc, press ok,now right click on drive C: selecting shrink, enter desired amount or maximum size will be automatically be chosen by os,when done a raw partition will be created ,right click on it and format, new partition is ready.

Thanks
