Did you upgrade the memory yourself, or did it come with 4GB of memory? If you upgraded, you need to make sure that each of the 4 memory chips are 1GB PC2-3200 SDRAM DIMM's.
Sounds to me like you may have upgraded it yourself and one of your chips aren't that speed, which will make it simply not show up at all in your system.
