                    Hi
The first thing you can do is starting your win xp in safe mode and see if it doesn't crush any more. You can go in safe mode by pressing F8 during the boot. If you can access your files, save them and reinstall win xp, without thinking about the cause of the crash.
The second thing you can do is using your hard drive as a slave drive and access it with another win xp installed in another drive. Obviously you must have another drive and therefore it's not always applicable. If you can do it, save the files and reinstall win xp.
