hi,
your cable should be cross (colors are different on both ends), not straight (colors are same order on both ends).
then use static ip on both computers.
> "Start"
> "My Network Places"
> "View Network Connections"
> "Right Click your connection"
> "Properties"
> "Internet Protocol"
> "Use the FF address"(one IP for each)
192.168.0.2
192.168.0.3

can u tell me etharnet cable and cross cable is diffrent or same
can i get to long cross cable to coonect two laptops
