It dissapears

Hello,
I am having problems downloading. The window will come up and ask me where i would like to download a file to, it then starts to downloads it to that directory, when it is finishd downloading the download box shuts itself down (even tho it is set that it doesnt) and i cant located the file anywhere. its nowhere on my system. I dont know what it means

what r u downloading

before u try again go some virus checks on it sounds a little strange! (virus strange)

i was tryin to download limewire, then i tried to download mozilla firefox and got the same thing. Its everything i try to download

WHEN I DOWNLOADED APPLICATIONS (LAST NIGHT) I USED A DOWNLOAD MANAGER. THIS CHECKS THEM AND ITS QUICK ALSO MANAGES THEM BETTER.

Nah same thing again, it appears to download and then it doesnt appear on my computer
