Can only run in safe mode after update

Hello,

I started my computer (Windows 7) and it automatically tried to do some updates. Once complete, my computer restarted and all I could get was a black screen then an error message saying my computer has an error and it has shut down to prevent damage to my computer. I can now only run my computer in safe mode. Does anyone have any suggestions?
