Deleting rows and columns in a spread sheet

Hello,

I'm doing a project that requires 31 rows and 7 columns in a spread sheet i want to delete all the rows and have only 31 rows left but i dont know how to do that i also want to delete all the columns and only have 7 left is there any way YOU can help me i need the answer to this before 4-15-11 please help if you get the answer e-mail me your email adress has been removed for your own security HELP ME PLEASE

you have not told on what conditions the rows and columns are to be deleted.
if your require only first 31 rows and first 7 columns
-select all the rows you do not want e.g. form row 32 down
-right click and in the pop menu click"delete" in the middle block
similarly select all the columns 8 and to the right and right click and click "delete"
